Ryver turns range changes into a continuous path without returning to candle intervals
The Box view can tell you where several ranges stand. It is less natural at answering a different question: how did the movement get here?
Ryver began as an attempt to read that path without returning to time-based candles. The first stable version in November 2025 placed completed range changes along a horizontal path. The boxes remained the source. Sequence became the subject.
Movement sets the pace
A fixed range completes when price travels far enough to cross its boundary. In a quiet period, completions arrive slowly. During more active movement, they arrive closer together.
Ryver gives each completion a place in order. The path expands with movement instead of asking the clock to allocate equal visual space to every minute. Reversals become bends. Repeated direction becomes a run. Related range sizes can be read together without changing the basic object.
This makes the view feel animated even when it is standing still. The geometry carries evidence of the sequence that formed it.
Sequence also has a cost. Equal horizontal distance no longer represents equal clock time. Two neighboring completions may arrive seconds apart or after a long quiet period. Ryver is honest about movement, but it is not the right view for every question about duration. That is why it sits beside the other views instead of replacing them.
The hardest control was following
A live path wants to keep its latest point visible. A person studying an older section wants the exact opposite: leave the viewport alone.
The early auto-scroll behavior exposed the conflict. If Ryver followed every update, it could drag someone away from the history they had chosen to inspect. If it never followed, the live edge could disappear without explanation.
The interaction needed two modes. At the edge, the view follows current movement. Once a person moves back, their inspection takes priority. Returning to live is a deliberate action.
That behavior has little to do with drawing a line and everything to do with respecting attention. Real-time software should not confuse “new data arrived” with “interrupt the user.”
A view should keep its accent
Ryver shares instrument and range context with Box, Line, and 3D, though it should not feel like a skin placed over the same chart. Its horizontal rhythm, clipped rails, and small pulses make sequence the first thing the eye sees.
The shared controls retain their meaning. Changing range size changes the distance being inspected. Moving to another market changes the subject. The view itself decides how those choices become motion.
Ryver exists for the moments when order matters more than a snapshot. It lets the range model travel through the screen, one completed movement after another.
